The Drama is over. 

Yes, I know Greys Anatomy returned with a new episode on Thursday night, but I am talkin to you, Toronto, and I am talkin Toronto Transit, specifically the TTC Strike that went into service, or in this case, DIS Service on Friday night Midnight onto Saturday Morning.

So get your body armor on. 

Am I talkin Sadr City?

Hell no, I am talkin to you, Toronto Transit Workers, when the wrath of Toronto Citizens will rear its ugly heads,  starting this evening, in approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes, when you babies, yes, goo freakin goo, i mean you, must go back to the streetcars, subway trains and the buses you left on side streets here in my beloved Toronto.

CFRB  1010 Toronto  had open lines yesterday afternoon.  One of The Better Way(s) own, "Keith," called in, to call Torontonians, selfish, self-centered.  Pardon?  This TTC driver argued with the host(ess), that people trying to get to work were only thinking of themselves.

I think that would be vice versa.

TTC Workers are offered a 3% raise for the next 3 years, and there's the rub (didn't think I knew Billy S didja?  Mais, but  I do.  I know how to get to Stratford, but i digress).

How many people do you know getting that  amount for a raise over the next 3 years?

The only people who come to mon tres petite tete, are politicians who at the trough, down at Queen and Bay, who garner a 48%.raise.  When they go for the grab they don't mess around.  For all you Americans out there, that is where you will find Toronto City Hall.

May I  add my 3 cents, Premier McGuinty did what Bob Rae refused to do in 1991.  That is when yours truly lost 9 days of work due to the strike.  I swore at that time, I would never be stuck on Mt. Pleasant, Bay St.,  Queen St., at Union Station, King St,  the Toronto Stock Exchange, TXE to you Yanks, Hospital Row or any other bleeping intersection in my Beloved Toronto.  Yes, I love Toronto, and many other Torontonians like me, love her too.

Here is a prediction, McGuinty and the Legislature will soon vote the TTC as an Essential Service, which means they will never be allowed to strike again.

This strike was sneaky, underhanded, and unethical,  last weeks 48 hour "notice" last weekend, that the TTC would NOT strike,  (TFBS.  You can figure that anagram out for yourselves) gave Torontonians a false sense of security.  At that time, i warned my transit using friends, beware, this is not the end of the story.

In wrapping up my April 27 Evening Blog, I will repeat my famous saying.  My favorite saying.

New York City has only 2 classes.  First class and no class, and you TTC Workers are the latter.
