    CIGNA You Ruined My Christmas

    I am sure you all know  what "situation" I refer to.

    CIGNA Insurance refused to pay for a young woman's liver transplant.

    CIGNA had a change of heart, but it was too late.
    Nataline Sarkisy died,  Thursday night, December 20th, shortly after the insurance company changed their policy on the girls insurance policy.

    Lawyer, Mark Geragos, whom I rarely agree with, has taken steps to sue CIGNA, on behalf of the Sarkisy family.

    For once, Geragos and I are on the same page.

    Tonight I will get down on my knees, and Thank God, that this American, living in Toronto, will  never have the problems that Americans face with their health care and health care insurance coverage.

    OK, all you people running for President in 2008, are you listening to the people in California and across the USA?

    For God's Sake, and all US Citizens Sakes, i sure hope so.

    Writing My Book Proposal

    As some of you may have heard, I am working with a Manhattan Literary Agent, who has me writing my "official" book proposal.

    Over the years, many of my beloved clients, have asked me, "When are you going to write a book? I'd buy It" (please, remember those works, because I am going to remind you of them in a few months),  or, have commented, "You SHOULD write a book."

    Point(s) taken.

    I have so many stories, all true, that perhaps the NYC Publishers, will be tempted to name my book, a work of fiction.  Mais non, mes amies.  All the stories included will be true, and verifiable.

    I am she, who never throws out, a phone number, an e-mail address, mailing address, or business card.  Especially when i need back up.

    Funny thing, the other day, a good (clairvoyant) friend of mine, in Toronto, said to me,  "Betsy, are you backing up your computer files.  I get "back up" with you."

    The next night  I watched, ANOTHER Al Pacino movie, and back up was mentioned in this film.  I love coincidences, don't you?  Except, there are NO coincidences in this world.

    Now, I realize, the back up, are my dear friends, and clients, who are able to authenticate the stories, included in my non-fiction tome.

    Working title? 

    For now, it is Tuning in with Betsy, but that can change at any moment, if you are at all familiar with what is known,  in The Business, as a Working Title.

    And, on that on that note, your humble host shall leave you now, to get those chapters written.

    His Blackship Gets 6.5 Years

    The Verdict was Guilty, the sentencing was yesterday in Chicago.

    Conrad Black, who renounced his Canadian Citizenship (Sacre Bleu!) to become a Lord of London, was sentenced to 6.5 years in a medium security prison in Florida, not far from the family mansion in Palm Beach.

    How cozy.

    I, along with many others in The True North Proud and Free expected a much longer term.

    Conrad is 63 now, and who knows what awaits him.  He has 3 months to settle his affairs, both Business and Personal and I hope he has learned The Main Lesoon here:


    Keep Your Hands off Other Peoples Money.  Guess you never heard of Karma, What Goes Around Comes Around, and The Great Bookkeeper in The Sky who is keeping score of who is naughty and nice.  And no, I don't mean Santa.

    I mean El Schaddai, El Gebor, Jehovah, Tettragramatton Sabaoth.

    Bible Class is dismissed go in Peace.

    Imitating Betsy What A Year

    Yes, indeedy,  to quote Mick Jagger.  What a year it has been.

    I know that we learn lessons from each person we meet,  Each person that enters our life, whether, for a long span of time, or like Jack Kennedy's Presidency, for  One Brief Shining Moment, you can be guaranteed there are Life Lessons attached.

    But for me, by mid-July, i felt like hitting the DELETE button ASAP.

    What was it in the Spring and Summer, of 2007, that I felt  "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery,"  was wearing rather thin in my life.

    About as thin as a pair of Leggs on Jumbo The Elephant.

    And as transparent.

    I had so many "well meaning" businesses want me to work with them.

    Hmmmmmm.  But then, I was asked to do 99% of their Marketing Program.  Huh?

    Hey!  Wait a minute,  Betsy does not have an MBA, nor a Marketing Degree.  If you need that go e-mail Blog Talk Radio, they are experts in the field.   And pay them what they deserve.

    And on that note, I will end by saying, I am absolutely ecstatic working with a literary agent in Manhattan.

    Dreams really do come true.
