Each one talented, each an icon for a certain generation. Who among Baby Boomers, doesn't remember Ed's booming voice, "Heeeeeere's Johnny!" instantly his signature. What teenage boy, growing up in the 70's didn't have Farrah's Famous Poster hanging on the wall of his bedroom? Those 80's teens, who can forget Thriller? The Dance Moves, the Voice, the Glove, the megasales, buying the Lennon McCartney Song Books? Now they are gone. 2 not too surprising. Ed had been in ill health for the past several years. Farrah fought for 2 years. The last, somewhat of a surprise but not too surprising. He had been in ill health for the past few months. All terrific Entertainers, all loved by millions, all appreciated. God bless.

Last year it was the Paris Hilton Party, last night was the MMVA's here in Toronto the Tantalizing. MuchMusicVideoAwards was an all night affair. Truly an affair to remember. Who could forget Lady GaGa, who stole the show. The Jonas Brothers, Nickelback, Blackeyed Peas were in The House. Chris Bosh of the Raptors made an appearance. Ms GaGa won the first award of the night for her video Poker Face for Best International Video. She thanked "God and the Gays" during her acceptance speech. Former Degrassi actor Drake is about to sign his first record deal with a major lable and was happy to be home in TO. The Jonas Brothers yukked it up with Celebrity Bloggre, Perez Hilton, but kept it G rate. Reality Girl, Kim Kardashian was there with her boyfriend, Reggie Bush, noting it was his first time ever in The Great White North. The Hills Brody Jenner also made an appearance on The Red Carpet, adding some Tinsel Town Glitz to Queen West.

do you think it is possible to think of someone, who you knew back in High School and have them call you the next day? Or think of someone, whom you went to a baseball game in 1978, and have them call you the next day? Well, that is exactly what happened to me yesterday. Hmmmm. The Law of Attraction, Like Attracts Like. Well i will admit, we are alike. Both of us are writers. He a Sports Writer and me, a pastiche of topics. It was not a shock, as he assumed. Nothing much shocks me anymore. I was informed of 2 friends who had chemo. I wish i had known this last year. I would have devised a way to get some Essiac Tea across the border. If you are Canadian you know what that is. You know it is an herbal tea, recipe courtesy of the Ojibwa and shared, back in the 1920's, with Renee Cassie, RN. Cures cancer. That's right. That is not a typo. It's available at the corner here on Yonge St. and Broadway Avenue. Noah's. Natural Foods. A bit pricey but you can google the 8 herbs and make your own. Off the top of my head, they are kelp, sheep sorrel (do not ask me what that is i haven't a vague or baa - d idea of what the heck it is) slippery elm root, red clover, burdoch and i can't think of the next 3 but i will add them tomorrow. Happy Healing. This is what i alluded to in the show today. When i mentioned Guides and Gurus. On Vision TV. Don't get me started. Especially about the mother, who took her 9 year old son, out of a hospital in Lima, Peru, when drs. wanted to take one of his kidneys. The boy was suffering from liver cancer and the mother did not agree with their planned procedure. She took her son home, made herbal teas like her Grandmother did, and lo and behold, her son is now 37 and has children of his own. He didn't die. He thrived. Amen and pass the tea. Betsy Balega
