Scott Bury is an award-winning journalist, editor and novelist whose articles have appeared in magazines in Canada, the US, the UK and Australia, including Macworld, the Financial Post, Applied Arts, and the Globe and Mail.
One Shade of Red is his new novel. A parody of a best-selling erotic novel, One Shade focuses on a young man becoming an adult: finding confidence while learning how to have different relationships with women as well as men.
His first published novel, The Bones of the Earth, is a fantasy set in sixth-century eastern Europe. He has also published short stories Sam, the Strawb Part (proceeds of which are donated to an autism charity), and Dark Clouds. His work in progress, tentatively titled Walking from the Soviet Union, tells the true story of a Canadian drafted into the Red Army during the Second World War.
Scott Bury worked in book and magazine publishing in Toronto before moving to Ottawa, where he now lives with his lovely, supportive and long-suffering wife, two mighty sons and the orangest cat in history. To contact: www.writtenword.ca, on his blog, Written Words on Twitter @ScottTheWriter, and on Facebook.
