McQueen, worked her way through college as a Model and Commercial Actress.
Janice studied at the North Carolina School of the Arts, the University of
North Carolina and Elon College, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music and
Theatre Performance. Janice is an accomplished Flutist, Singer, and Actress. Janice has held many local, festival and state titles,
and in 1999 she won Mrs. North Carolina and the coveted title of Mrs. United
States! Throughout her year as Mrs. United States, Janice
traveled the nation as a Spokesperson and Advocate for the Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation, The American Cancer Society, The American Heart Association, Lung
Cancer Awareness, and was a special guest of President and Mrs. Clinton for
Mother’s Day 2000. Janice is a passionate advocate for volunteerism,
focusing on lung cancer awareness and research. She is a Spokesperson, Steering
Committee Member, and Outreach Board Member for National Lung Cancer
Partnership, and a Advocate and Outreach Committee Member with Lung Cancer
Foundation. Since moving to Los Angeles, California in 2001, Janice
signed with the House of Representatives Agency, and has guest starred on many
shows, including Two and a Half Men, Veronica Mars, The Bold and the Beautiful,
and Passions. You can currently see Janice in 2 national commercials - Meaning
Beauty and The David Law Firm. In addition to working as an actress, Janice has her own
company, Crown Charisma Consulting. She is the Executive Producer of the Mrs.
California United States Pageant, and is a nationally recognized Pageant and
Life Coach. Janice resides in Santa Monica, CA with her husband Tony,
and son, Cameron.
