People often confuse confidence and arrogance. Sometimes they think a person who is confident is arrogant, especially upon first impression. Usually though, that confusion will dissipate once they get to know the person better. It is important not to make the mistake between self-confidence and arrogance. One doesn't mean the other. There is such a fine line sometimes between cockiness, self confidence, assertiveness, and arrogance. When that line gets crossed it can be a major turn off to some.
