It was a busy week of transactions in the WHL this week as teams started to clear up their overage situation. After being a healthy scratch for 2 games, Matt Bellerive requested a trade from the Vancouver Giants. He was then traded to the Red Deer Rebels. The Giants also made a move in their overage situation as they had an open spot after releasing F Taylor Makin. How did they use that spot? They brought in Trevor Cheek from the Calgary Hitmen. Other teams to make Overage related moves this week were the Red Deer Rebels as they brought in Brandon Underwood from the Regina Pats & the Medicine Hat Tigers who brought in Elgin Pearce from the Kootenay Ice. The other less talked about trade was Dakota Conroy going from the Victoria Royals to the Prince Albert Raiders. Also up for discussion on the show, the surprising 4-0 run of the Brandon Wheat Kings, which ended Saturday night in a 6-1 loss to the Moose Jaw Warriors. We'll also discuss what needs to happen for the Vancouver Giants to improve on their 0-3 record.
