The role of fatherhood is most serious. Early on in life a young male is referred to a "little man". Into the psyche is what comes next after little man is a "big man", a working man, and of course a father. A father fills his space most efficiently when he is a working father, employed, earning money. The father's desire is not to be jobless. When this father becomes jobless the glory he experiences when working is exchanged for a feeling of unimportance. This is so not acceptable America. This is exactly what is happening to fathers across America this fathers day. Greed of other men robs fathers of the feeling of being glorious and exchanges it for being unimportant. Fathers are important, not only to children, they sired, but to many children of other men, to communites and this nation. The love a father exhibits toward his children is special and just as special as that love is, should that same father become jobless, you are less likely to witness a broken bond with father and child.  Men have their own version of what a man is, what a father is. When a man becomes a father, and actually fathers his child, he provides a nourishment to the child that stays with that child a lifetime. But the father is fragile in that he equats his manhood with his ability to support his child.

Mine eyes have seen the glory of men who love one another and who love their children and the proof of that love is in the lives of those families. A wonder to behold. And those families, they speak the names of those fathers every day and all because those fathers desires to work, to raise, provide for and protect his children was made reality in the land of opportunity. Happy Father's Day America!
