The theme for 2014 Black history month is America Civil Rights. Today's show celebrates Black History. We pay tribute to the works, words, and faith of Americans who sought more and achieved more throughout the history of our country.

Much of Black history from slavery to jim crow to the civils rights movement is attributed to the Church and to the US Army. Of course we pay tribute to Abraham Lincoln, Nat Turner, Frederick Douglas, the many Black Americans who contributed to a better America, Ordinary citizens who performed  extraordinary tasks throughout time, the Black woman Breedlove, Daniel Hale Williams, Garret Morgan, George Washington Carver, Jean Baptiste, the men and women of the 1960's some known as the flower children who joined together to fight the power of the forces of darkness. For all the efforts or all the righteous people of America who contributed song and dance and politics and praise, today we can Celebrate Black history months with the first Black family, the Obamas.

This Sunday, February 9, 2014 I ask you to join the President in making 2014 a year of actions for jobs and for the best economy ever. Let our journey to prosperity be our salute to Black History from this day forward.
