"I again recommend a law prohibiting all corporations from contributing to the campaign expenses of any party... Let indiviiduals contribute as they desire: but let us prohibit in effective fashion all corporations from making contributions for any political purpose, directly or indirectly"  ~ Theodore Roosevelt

ALEC was welcomed into government in 1973. ALEC is a bonding of multi-milion dollar companies that are household names to all Americans, especially to the working poor. 1985, GOP was convinced by ALEC to sign a contract. In return for signing the contract, ALEC would assure the GOP they would have jobs for life. After the 2000 presidential election, the SCOTUS provided America with a president who was selected and not elected. And so begin the Bush Administration. A collected group of politicians and CEOs who would create a downward spiral economy, in which the only ones to benefit would be the top 1% of wealthiest Americans. The 99 % of America would find out what was happening by realizing massive loss of jobs; loss of money in bank accounts because of the 2008 stock market crash; and loss of money in 401Ks and pensions. Hard working citizens lost cars, homes, businesses and confidence in the American dream.
