US invasion of Iraq, 10th year of the infamous mushroom war lie. It was that mushroom lie that reeled me in to agree to the invasion. 10 years later, Veterans of Iraq invasion are not appreciated in the US. What our elected officials have shown to veterans is not appreciation. Veterans get plenty lip service with words that are nothing more than lies. Lies that begin and end with "Thank you for your service". 4400 casualties, Lives gone. Leaving behind families who are jobless, homeless, penniless trying to make sense of what next. 32,000 injuries, Lives changed, learning to live with jobless, homeless and disabilities. Veterans of Iraq invasion deserve the best and instead they get thank you for your service. US Stock markets are highest ever. American and foreign business continues business as usual in our free enterprise system. We can thank the many military / veterans who stand/stood between America and enemies outside and who would have infiltrated our homeland. Lip service to our veterans does not pay bills nor  feed bellies America. Polices for veterans like guaranteed employment in companies with government contracts. Guaranteed employment in companies with revenue to commit to minimum hiring of veterans. Guaranteed government employment of veterans. We can't erase that mushroom lie. We can do a better job toward making our veterans whole. Thank you for your service is lip service that want even get a Veteran a cup of coffee and piece of toast on a cold morning in America
