Author, poet, mentor, radio talk show host and mother. Empress Poetry has embraced her God given gift of words and uses them to inspire, encourage and empower all she encounters. As author of Impressions of a Poet, Footnotes of My Journey, she has documented some of her life lessons through prose. She is a part of an ecclectic trio on 3 Ingredients, 1 Foundation, an internet radio show on Everyday Radio @ www.thejayeveryday.com. She is a part of the poetic family A.A.C.R.E.E.E & Friends, an alliance she gives credit to for fueling her performamce on stage. Her poetry has been a tool she uses to mentor HS students and young women & girls in her community.
Coming Up in the SECOND HOUR... we have THA REAL stopping by to grace the Mic.... Born and raised in Brooklyn, this young man knew at the age of 15 what he wanted to do...Entertain. He started his career at The Greater Brownsville Youth Council, as a peer-educator. It was at G.B.Y.C. that he was taught the art of improvisational theater. Over a six-year period, he learned many different aspects of theater. From dialect to script writing. It was through this process that he developed his love for "The Arts"..
