Updates on Sarah Kruzan and Special Guest: Judy Cottingham

convicted of first degree murder, is a victim of human trafficking and inmate of Central California Women's Facility, Chowchilla. In 1994, at the age of 16, she was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole after being convicted of murdering her alleged pimp, George Gilbert Howard. On January 2, 2011, Kruzan was granted clemency by outgoing Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who commuted her sentence to 25 years with the possibility of parole. Dante Says "At the age of seventeen I was charged with first degree Intentional homicide, and I was waived into Adult court, I am not guilty of this offense, though based upon pressure from my attorney and the prosecutor, naivety, credulity and my child-like disposition I plead guilty to the offense in a deal that was to consign me to a term of life imprisonment with parole eligibility after thirteen years, (2009) thought the Judge did not adhere to the deal and instead consigned me to a term of life imprisonment with parole eligibility in 2020" Judy Cottingham is the wife of Dant'e Cottingham who is now serving a prison term. Judy will be discussing their efforts to improve the Juvenile Justice System.
