Plus, we continued our journey around the NBA by stopping in Utah with the Jazz. Where exactly is this team heading in the thick of things, and is this finally the season that they make some noise in the playoffs?

Your podcast for the Miami Heat's playoff run, Wes Goldberg and David Ramil offer insightful observations and off-topic banter.
Wes Goldberg (@wcgoldberg) and David Ramil (@dramil13) talk about what the Miami Heat have done right and what they've done wrong, who on the Raptors has the most puncheable face and if Heat fans should feel good about a 1-1 series split heading back to Miami. Then Wes talks with Josh Eberley (@josheberley) to get the Raptors' perspective, what's up with Kyle Lowry and why Josh is hated by #HeatTwitter.

This week's Saturday sit-down has some international flavors. I talked with JB from the Posterdunk podcast, part of Posterdunk.com, a French NBA website. JB knows all about Nic Batum's NBA career and his international ups and downs with the French national team.
Unfortunately this summer was a bit of a downer for Batum and France. The French national team lost to Spain in a thriller of a semifinal matchup at the international Eurobasket tournament. While Batum hit a three pointer to send the game into overtime, he missed critical free throws down the stretch to send France to the finals. Overall his summer stats were underwhelming. He averaged only 9.1 points on 35 percent shooting (including 6/35 from three), 3.6 rebounds and 1 turnover for every 1.3 assists.
Should Hornets fans be worried about his summer struggles or will Nic Batum bounce back this preseason and beyond?

Keith Smith (@KeithSmithNBA) joins Shawn (@shawn_woods15) on this week's Thunderous Transmissions podcast for an episode based on the NBA's salary cap, specifically geared toward the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The show starts with Keith telling how he started getting involved with the NBA's salary cap, including a few of his pet peeves. From there, Keith details what could change in the upcoming collective bargaining agreement.
The two move on to discuss why Kevin Durant signed a one-year contract in lieu of a longer deal and discuss how this pertains to Russell Westbrook.
The show continues with the guys talking about the Thunder's three restricted free agents: Andre Roberson, Victor Oladipo and Steven Adams. Finally, the guys take a couple of Twitter questions, and Keith discusses his experience with the Pro Scout School at the Las Vegas summer league.
Here is Shawn's recent piece on Russell Westbrook's contract options.
