    How great was today’s show?  Janet is truly an inspiring individual.  I hope you got as much as I did from our time together!

     

    Janet Powers is the CEO/founder of Diva Toolbox.  (www.divatoolbox.com)  She decided to follow her passion upon reflection after her mother passed away a few years ago.  Her passion was to create a community for other women that symbolized a networking system of women-helping-women in a format that was set-up like you were discussing issues over a kitchen table.  After much thought, and support from family and friends, Diva Toolbox was created.

     

    Diva Toolbox is a site FOR women, BY women.  Topics include: relationships, parenting, buying/repairing autos, design, investments/finances and business/entrepreneurial topics.  Site also features a “Dynamic Diva” column, Diva authors (I’m there!) and products.  You can submit articles/advice as long as it complies to one of the topics featured on the site!  Share your story with others!

     

    Some advice that Janet shared with us was:

    • Follow your dream.  We’ve discussed this in previous episodes of the Power of Intent and the Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda club…re-listen to these episodes as a refresher to gain confidence.
    • Create a solid foundation to be able to grow your company/goal/dream.
    • Live in the present and enjoy your successes as they come.
    • Think BIG!

    Happy Mother's Day Everyone!!  (and yes, dog moms count!)-

    Today we got to meet one of my fave people, Gretchen Powers.  Gretchen is a client who has become a friend over time and is a wonderful example of someone utilizing Feng Shui principles.

    Gretchen told us she became interested in Feng Shui when she went through a major life change-moving from Florida to Alaska, new marriage and just transitioning to new life.  She contacted me to help pick out colors for new house (which is gorgeous and hopefully we'll get pics to post on the Facebook group for Feng Shui Fabulous!-have you  joined us yet?).  I did a total Feng Shui consult for the house-color scheme, working on de-cluttering, space-planning and accessory placement AND making use of the great views their home has.

    While all the changes haven't been made yet-decluttering NEEDS to be done first before you make any Feng Shui adjustments (otherwise you're only "activating" your clutter-i.e. PAST stuff!).  Most of the work has been done in Gretchen's office, their bedroom and the garage.  Gretchen is married to "the man of her dreams' (her words) and her business has increased-she even taught on a Norwegian Cruise ship from Boston-Bermuda!  How cool is that?
