Call in to speak with the host
Let's talk some culture and politics on this 4th of July. A great band which happens to be a group of conservatives has a new version of the "Star Spangled Banner" out which is gaining attention. I'll talk about Madison Rising and why I think their version of the National Anthem has surpassed Lee Greenwood's "God Bless The USA" as the conservative standard for identifying music.
I'll also share the popular Rick Monday story - the Chicago Cub outfielder who became a legend for one of baseball's greatest plays...that didn't involve baseball.
Also..music for a movement as publicized by Glenn Beck, the rising star known as Kalai. I'll play some of his stuff.
We'll squeeze in some classics as well - Johnny Cash, John Wayne, and good old Lee Greenwood too.
It's good to talk.
