Your Mind: Friend or Foe?

Our mind is marvelous, adept and advanced. It helps us to translate and make sense of what we perceive, as well as to make logical assumptions about the world we live in. It is our friend and companion, a trusted ally, and one of the most reliable tools we have. Even better, it is personal, private and available 24/7.

Our thoughts create our reality, sustain our beliefs and endorse the thoughts we dwell on most. But our mind did not come with an owner’s manual and many of us have forgotten or never learned how to use it to our advantage. We struggle against our thoughts and find it difficult to understand what they are trying to tell us -- our mind gets stuck in the past or is off and running to a future that doesn’t yet exist.

This month on, Solutions for a Small Planet, we will delve into the role that our mind plays in our life and how we can make better use of it. Some of the questions we will explore are: What is the difference between the conscious and sub-conscious mind? How can we adjust our thoughts and thinking? Are our thoughts ours alone or do we share them with others? Does thinking positive thoughts and practicing affirmations affect our reality?

Join me this Wednesday, April 24th, as we explore this intriguing subject, and learn who and what we are listening to.
