Title: “Grace Ignites Us To Service, Pt. 2” Acts 11:19-30 The power of Grace ignites the true child of God to service. In the example of the initial church we see a pattern that cannot be overlooked. The same Holy Ghost power that fell upon them is upon us today. There were controversies that arose and caused them to be dispersed into other areas so that the gospel would be preached. Otherwise, they all would have probably stayed in Jerusalem amongst those they were familiar with. God requires us to take the gospel to every creature, because His Grace was extended to all mankind and not just a specific group. The church grew as the Spirit led and the power of God was on display. The local church in Jerusalem was compelled to send missionaries out into other areas in order to spread the gospel. This was the spirit of evangelism on the scene that brought forth fruit. The ministry gifts of Pastor and Teacher were present with them and discipleship increased. The Spirit of Prophecy came alive in the church and settled in Antioch where the church was first called Christian.
