I am a writer in process always and learning trying different forms of writing. I enjoy writing, commentary on current affairs, topical and historical essays on many subjects and a little Comedy as well as Non -Fiction and Poetry. I have a channel on You tube where for the past three years I have spoken about a condition once called Multiple Personality 'Disorder'or MPD. In 1994 the name was changed by the DSM Diagnostic Statistical Manual to 'Dissociative Identity Disorder' or DID. I have been following media portrayals historically and currently, speaking about a very common timeline regarding diagnosing MPD/DID and prevalence in Media and Psychiatry to show Multiplicity one way"Disordered and Horrific". Anthing that comes on TV, Life Time Movies , Mini movies of the week, prime Time News , Talk Show Interviews , Big Screen or in books Autobiographical and fiction or radio Interview , true life docudramas and fiction , even music that discusses what DID/MPD is ,I will eventually discuss. More and More Multiples are 'coming out' , speaking of a better way to look at Multiplicity as a logical way to live , not disordered. I was diagnosed with MPD in 1986.I am 52 years old and have lived my entire life experiencing life as Plural in a Single Body~ and this does not mean my life is that of horrific suffering or shattered and in chaos with amnesia for daily events. There are many challenges regarding people understanding Dissociating is on a spectrum, many times normal and many degrees of dissociation that make perfect sense. I have been challenging the misconceptions that of mystical, spiritual,phenomenon and folklore and previous Star cases of Multiplicity such as seen in "Sybil" and "Three faces of Eve" and now "United States of Tara" that add to myths people believe adding to stigma .It really all comes down to having tools, a support system and health regimes in ones life to live and function well..like anyone e
