As a young teenager, she travelled with another family and observed the snake charmer in Marrakech, Morocco, rode a camel and has nurtured a monkey in the Canary Islands. Seeing the world has been her life’s passion. Her parents underwent a bankruptcy in her late teens and as such, withdrew from University to help them through this time, but later still managed to see quite a bit of the world -- again! Her motivation for writing the book "Wake Me Up Inside" was primarily to entertain her son and his friends that hung out at their family home, frequently.  Lee wanted to write a page turner for teens/tweens, that is short but packed with action with a cliff hanger at the end. It is the first novel in a trilogy and she's almost finished book two.
