Call in to speak with the host
One of the biggest transitions within Boy Scouts is when a scout moves from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts.
Transitions are one of those things that scouts on the Autism Spectrum tend to have challenges with.
Karen Mansfield of Denver area was the founder and for the past five yeas was thier Scoutmaster. This very unique Boy Scout unit has a focus on teaching the boys basic Boy Scout skills and then providing a transition into a typical unit.
Karen will be coming to talk about her role in the unit, her vision and the story of Troop 5280.
Karen will be back the following week to talk about Advancement for scouts with special needs and how to work with scouts with unique challenges.
