Autism awareness has become an important aspect of our community and our world. The Autism Awareness Alliance will actively work to bring the unified voices together. The mission of the Autism Awareness Alliance is to unite Autism nonprofits, professionals and advocates to form a voice in the media. Goals include delivering accurate and comprehensive information to media outlets through press releases, media proposals and press conferences.

The two will be discussing their experiences with early intervention and the impact that the process had on their children. Spreading their knowledge and promoting awareness of early intervention is the focus of the show.
Lincoln Financial will also be recording an alliance PSA on early intervention which they will help market nationally. In their professional studios, we hope to create a PSA with impact!

Moms for Autism and Autism Speaks join the Autism Awareness Alliance! We are picking up speed very fast and we are rounding out the table with our two new liaisons. Moms for Autism will act as our Family Support Liaison and Autism Speaks will act as our Autism Research Liaison. Our team is growing rapidly and are excited that our voice in the media grows even stronger.
Also new to our team is the Gabe Dixon Band who has released their single "Disappear" for our PSA that we will be recording next week. This highly talented band is well worth your listen!

Gerry Nelms, a dedicated advocate within the school system for special needs students joins the Autism Awareness Alliance as our Special Education Advocacy Liaison and blog talk host. Gerry gives us insight into his work,
"While I was teaching, I taught the Special Needs students providing the accomodations and modifications personally, or working with a Special Education teacher working with several students in the classroom. I am now providing advocacy services for parents of Special Needs students. I am able to provide information to parents across the United States if they have any questions concerning IDEA, ADA, going to college, and other types of services that are available to special needs students."
