Primarily, Richard Schenkman has written, directed and produced numerous feature films, starting with The Pompatus of Love, which he wrote with Jon Cryer and Adam Oliensis. It premiered at the Hamptons Film Fest in 1995, and was released theatrically. He also served as a guest faculty member of the LA Film School, teaching comedy directing via a production of “Fawlty Towers”. He currently lives in Los Angeles, where a highlight of his week is the time he spends reading to his daughter’s class at the Los Feliz Charter School of the Arts. Today on Authors Read radio we have the pleasure of having Richard share an excerpt from his first novel for children, “The Girl From Atlantis”.
