DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS PANEL DISCUSSION

Good Evening! This is a special show that will discuss the cause & affects of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. DV, as it is referred to law enforcement & clinical circles, includes sexual assault (rape, incest, etc.) as well as intimate partner abuse, child abuse,and elder abuse (where the children or grandchildren of the victim abuses them usually for control of their money, property or drugs - or any combination of such. DV reaches across all cultures, races & socio-economic groups, and according to recent statistics affects or has affected 1 in 4 men, women & children in the USA ALONE! During this discussion, we will hear of first-hand accounts of what those who have been abused have gone through, as well as statistics, the cycle of abuse, battered women's syndrome, how to spot and avoid abusive relationships & situations, and where and how victims can get help.
