Authors on the Air Host Pam Stack welcomes debut novelist J.J. Hensley, whose first book, "RESOLVE", has been nominated for the Best First Novel by the Internationla Thrillers Writers.    From the author, in his own words:  I'm a former police officer and former Special Agent with the U.S. Secret Service who somehow ended up writing novels.  Join me as I talk about my unusual path from a career in law enforcement to the world of writing, Resolve being named a finalist for Best First Novel by the ITW, and my future plans.  I'll also discuss why I structured the novel the way I did (26.2 "miles" or chapters) and why I never outline. Before moving to my current home near Pittsburgh, I lived in Richmond, Virginia and then the Washington, D.C. area.  While commuting around our nation's capital, I got hooked on audio books and that doubled the amount of novels I would "read". When I decided to write Resolve, I made sure to think outside the box.  If you like books that are fun but manage to stick in your mind long after you finish the final page, then Resolve might be for you.  For more on J.J. see http://hensley-book.com.  For more on the awards see http://thrillerwriters.org/programs/thriller-awards/.
