Joel Goldman is the Edgar and Shamus nominated author of the Lou Mason Thrillers, the Jack Davis Thrillers and the Alex Stone Thrillers.

Joel was traditionally published for ten years. Since then's he's joined the ranks of indie authors, self-publishing his back list as well as his first "straight to self-publishing" novel, Stone Cold, the first book in the Alex Stone Thriller series. Selling over 200,000 self-published books in the last two years, Joel has learned a lot about the new world of, as Guy Kawasaki calls it, artisanal publishing.

ABOUT THE HOST:

The author of 17 novels, Paul Levine won the John D. MacDonald fiction award and was nominated for the Edgar, Macavity, International Thriller, and James Thurber prizes. A former trial lawyer, he also wrote more than 20 episodes of the CBS military drama "JAG" and co-created the Supreme Court drama "First Monday" starring James Garner and Joe Mantegna.
