Michael Young Bio:

Michael Young was born in Fort Steward Georgia to a military family. He moved aorund most of his life from base to base.  He grew up in an abusive household ruled by his father, which caused him to be pretty reserved and quiet, staying to himself mostly. He learned to sing by imitating singers he heard on the radio.  Music was his peace, comfort, and esacpe.

He lost his father to a murder/suicide at the age of 12 and was in a state of shock the years following the horrific event.  Drawing and listening to music helped him get by.  He got inspiration one day to sing and perform in his high school talent show.  In doing so he won 1st place.  He was really nervous but enjoyed the love and appreciation from the audience and never stopped singing.  He performed any and everywhere that he possible could after that.

Some friends he met doing karaoke introduced him to theatre in Columbus GA. He began singing background for local productions of “Purlie” and “School House Rock”. He eventually landed the leading role as CC. Composer in a production of the musical “Dreamgirls”.
