When prisoners finish serving time, they may be "released," but they're still not free. With a record, where can they go, other than back into the environment they came from? Who will hire them? With whom can they build a new life? Social Worker Melissa Whyte will speak with host Beth Miller about her experiences working with individuals who have criminal convictions. With her passion for assisting individuals to be the best they can be, Melissa will share some thoughts on how to improve the process of prisoners' re-entry into society.Melissa holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from the greater Rochester Collaborative Masters of Social Work Program - a collaborative program between State University of New York at Brockport and Nazareth College.
