In this episode of Attention Talk Radio, we interview Dr. Russell Barkley (http://russellbarkley.org) around the research suggesting there is a new attentional disorder called sluggish cognitive tempo (SCT), also known as concentration deficit disorder (CDD). Dr. Barkley enlightens us on the disorder, how it differs from ADD, and how that many diagnosed with what DSM used to define as inattentive ADD might actually be SCT/CDD. This is important, as differences in diagnosis respond to very different treatments. If you have been diagnosed with inattentive ADHD or know somebody who is, this is interview could impact the treatment and support of the condition.
