Aries Full Moon
October 04, 2009 1:11am CDT
Sunday the 4th of October is the annual Aries Full Moon symbolizing the letting go, surrender and completion phase of the Moon over the next two weeks. Issues to concentrate on for surrender are anger, frustration, annoyance, irritation, aggravation and/or violation. Impulsive, impetuous and impatient behaviors can also be addressed with this lunation. The guiding and assisting angel of this lunation is Geniel. International diplomacy associated with fact-finding tours will be important. International aid to hard hit areas around the globe will also be emphasized. This Aries Full Moon also witnesses a mutual reception involving the planet Mars and the Moon. Mutual reception in astrology is when two planets are positioned in each other’s rulership signs; in this case Mars is in Cancer and the Moon in Aries. Planets in mutual reception were highly regarded by the ancient astrologers as being beneficial.
Mars is in the 12th house of the Washington DC chart and there are several ways of interpreting this placement. The 12th house has since ancient times been the house of secret enemies. Cancer is the sign of the homeland. This could be interpreted as someone or a group is in the homeland of the United States that may become the ‘secret enemy’ of the nation. This provokes thoughts of the Oklahoma City bombing of the Federal Building several years ago. In other words there were no ties to foreign people or countries that perpetrated that terrorist act. It was ‘homegrown’. Another interpretation here can be a ‘spiritual warrior’ can emerge and be a catalyst of favorable spiritual orientation as the 12th house in astrology is the most ‘spiritual’ house in astrology.
The Sun in the sign of Libra is harmonious to Jupiter in Aquarius from the 3rd house to the 7th house which can symbolize leaders, executives and individuals in the executive branch of government may bring about the ‘grace under fire’ syndrome particularly when facts back up worthwhile information that helps restore balance and equitability that improve international standing. This may develop over the upcoming week with positive ramifications that lends itself well with creating a sense of international unity and political consensus.
Mercury, Venus and Saturn oppose Uranus in this chart from the 2nd house to the 8th house (financial houses in astrology) so we still have some shakedowns and surprises to occur with the financial markets with perhaps a ‘shocking’ bankruptcy announced. There can even be labor disputes that can lead to strikes and/or walkouts. Mergers and acquisitions can also be surprising. Consumer spending is extremely modest as the public is very budget conscious and on the look for bargains.
