(In fact, a few people - who obviously have issues of their own - have actually called for attacking Aspies on sight!) We've got some prejudice to fight. Let's speak out on our experiences and those of our Aspie family members, friends and others!     00:30:00Jeffrey DeutschnoNewtown,Sandy Hook,Adam Lanza, autism,Asperger SyndromeEver since it was announced that Adam Lanza, the Sandy Hook school shooter, had Asperger Syndrome - an autism spectrum condition - more people are wondering ifWhat Are Your Demons?http://www.blogtalkradio.com/asplint/2010/10/31/what-are-your-demonsLifestylehttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/asplint/2010/10/31/what-are-your-demons/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/asplint/2010/10/31/what-are-your-demonsSun, 31 Oct 2010 19:00:00 GMTWhat Are Your Demons?Pretty much everyone has their own demons - what might have beens, pet peeves, personal triggers and things like that. We Aspies have plenty of demons, and sometimes it can help for NTs to know a bit about them. We'll talk a bit about my personal demons, and we'd love to hear about any of yours. Any NTs with constructive responses to Aspies' personal demons, we'd love to hear from you too!01:00:00Jeffrey DeutschnoAsperger,Autism,Social Skills,Aspie,Life CoachingPretty much everyone has their own demons - what might have beens, pet peeves, personal triggers and things like that. Once we become adults, we'll have a great deal more choice and freedom - and responsibility too. We'll also learn more about how the world works and be able to adapt. Asperger Syndrome (AS) is still tough to grow up with, and always will be. Just the place for people on the autism spectrum, or Aspies, to get a better look at how people and social situations like workplaces, friendships, dates, etc., operate. Also a great place for NTs (neurotypicals - those of you not on the spectrum) to better understand the Aspies in your lives. For some folks, school's just started. For others, it's about to start. Let's talk about how Aspies can get along better with classmates and teachers...and vice versa. If we have time we can also talk about other arenas where Aspies and NTs can get on better; for this episode, school-related stuff gets priority. And of course, we'll also kick off Labor Day Weekend!01:00:00Jeffrey DeutschnoAsperger Syndrome,Autism Spectrum,Life Coaching,Aspie,NeurotypicalA SPLINT - ASPies LInking with NTs.
