Two mothers from different generations joined us for a candid discussion about autism. Natalee Buckholtz shared her unique experiences of raising her son Michael during a time before Asperger's Syndrome was in the DSM IV as an available diagnosis. Hear from her how Michael's diagnosis of Aspergers as an adult has brought her full circle in the understanding of her son. Cathy Gronefeld Derringer's son Dallas is currently in elementary school. Cathy shared her experiences of parenting Dallas in the middle of what some refer to as the 'autism epidemic.' Hear from Cathy about how she went from considering herself a "Warrior Mom for a Cure" to a mother whose warrior attitude is now about teaching others the importance of acceptance.
