If you frequent social media on even the smallest level, you might have witnessed the latest online social media tool offered by Klout.com

Klout.com utilizes social network tracking and provides a Klout Score based on social activity.

According to Klout.com "Klout was founded in 2008 to help you measure and leverage your influence."  At Klout.com, the belief is "that influence is the ability to drive action."

What is apparent to me is that the end user determines Klout Score value.  The meaning of the score is more perception, for a Klout Score doesn't necessarily represent the goals of one's social interaction.

So really, how much clout should be given to Klout.com?

Consider the varied opinions on the subject.  I've recently had the pleasure of interacting in a discussion regarding Klout scores.  I appreciate the thoughtful and lively points made regarding the following questions:

Whether your Klout Score is 2 or 50, should you care?  What are your thoughts regarding Klout Score?  Is it worth the attention?
