Joe Wong, Man of Comedy and Science Interview w/ Maggie Li

Born in China, Joe Wong was fascinated by the vibrant American culture and moved to the United States in 1994. After earning a Ph.D. in Bio­chemistry at Rice University, Joe enrolled in stand-up, acting, and improvisational comedy classes.

 

In 2009, Wong made his debut on the Late Show with David Letterman and was offered a sitcom development deal with Letterman’s production company, Worldwide Pants.

 

Since then, Joe has appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Ellen’s Bigger Longer and Wider Show. 

 

This year, he will be doing a Chinese comedy show on Feb 23rd at 7pm-9pm at Mason Hall in NY. This will be his first Chinese language show in NYC.
