Mr. Rey is the owner and founder of Rey’s Funeral Home located in George Hill, Anguilla. Hugo specializes in all aspects of business regarding funeral rites. These tasks often entail the embalming and burial, or cremation of the dead, as well as the planning and arrangement of the actual funeral ceremony.

 

On occasions, his responsibilities may include performing tasks such as dressing the deceased in garments, usually suitable for daily wear, casketing (placing the human body in the container), and cosmeticizing, which is applying any sort of cosmetic or substance to the viewable areas of the person for the purpose of enhancing their appearance.

 

In 1998, Mr. Rey was awarded the Government of Anguilla Award.
