A lot of people don’t understand what Malacology really is. Malacology is the study of mollusks. They are invertebrate creatures with soft, not segmented bodies, and many of them house themselves in shells. This group of animals has more than 100,000 species in the world, ranging from sizes as small as a snail to an object that is 60 feet long. There are a variety of species that we have in the water, so we must make sure that the water that’s in our rivers, lakes, and ocean clean. It is pleasure from Ashford Radio to present Marian Havlik, the Owner of Malacological Consultants, and she is willing to stand up for what is right when it comes to the mistreatment of mollusk.
