Ashford Publishing Radio Presents Margo Thunderbird

Thunderbird is the Owner of Bounty Farms, which specializes in organic goods and products located in Little Falls, New York. Her practices are designed to encourage soil and water conservation and reduce pollution. Rather than using chemical weedkillers, she conducts more sophisticated crop rotations and spreads mulch or manure to keep weeds at bay.

 

Thunderbird is also a member of the Shinnecock Tribe. She is the granddaughter of the Shinnecocks’ late ceremonial sachem Henry Bess, who was known as Chief Thunderbird on the 800-acre Shinnecock Reservation.
