Ashford Publishing Radio Presents Dr. Stanley Okun

For almost 40 years, Dr. Okun has practiced general and root canal dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, pediatric dentistry, extractions, and orthodontics. Additionally he provides relief to those patients suffering from Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJ) as well as the head and neck pain associated with it. Dr. Okun has two offices located in Manhattan and Rye Brook, New York and offers comprehensive dental care including, but not limited to, clear braces, low profile brackets, in-house laboratories, and dental service plans.

Dr. Okun is a graduate of Columbia University where he has been certified in Orthodontics. Prior to Columbia, Dr. Okun obtained degrees from the NYU School of Dentistry and Bradley University. Dr. Okun is an expert in Orthodontics and was one of three teams of doctors who perfected the palatal expansion technique, a now commonplace procedure performed among Orthodontists worldwide. He was awarded the Joseph E. Johnson Award for correcting class III malocclusions without surgery as well as achieving the Consumer's Research Council of America’s ‘America's Top Dentists 2005 – 2011 for Dentistry and Orthodontics and Dental Facial Orthopedics’ award.

Dr. Okun is an active member of the Westchester Shore Dental Forum, Northeastern Society of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, North Eastern Society of Orthodontists, and the New York State Society of Orthodontists. In addition, Dr. Orkun was a past President of Orthodontic Society of Columbia University and Orthodontic Board of Trustees.
