Lights! Camera! Action! Ashford Publishing Radio's On-Air Host, Christine Larkin, will launch, “On Stage”, a show that features interviews with entertainers. The first show will air Friday, November 18, 2011 at 3PM EST.
No stranger to the stage, Christine is a jazz singer and began performing in the early 90's with American folk legend, Pete Seeger, and his New York City Street Singers. They performed at a variety of events around town singing folk songs from around the world. Through this experience, she was introduced to many musicians and performed with a variety of jazz bands and eventually formed her own group, “Skylark”. She later joined forces with an exotic rhythm guitar duo and also sang with a seven-piece jazz band. Christine continues to write and perform and is currently working with her nephew who is a gifted, all-around musician. “We must keep music alive and pass it along to the younger generation”.
Christine has also hosted Talent Night at Visions at Selis Manor, a residence and center for the blind and visually impaired in New York City and has performed at several of their events as well. She is looking forward to the premiere of her show and hopes you enjoy being “On Stage”.
