“America’s Stand on Drugs” with
Harold Patin, the CEO of Global Safety Security Inc.
In 1965, Mr. Patin joined the Federal Bureau of Narcotics Treasury Department, which at that time, mostly targeted heroin. He then went on to the Bureau of Drug Abuse Control, which pursued stimulants and depressants as well as psychedelic drugs. In 1972, he was assigned to the office of Drug Abuse Law Enforcement (ODALE), under President Richard Nixon, and was commissioned as a Special Agent in Charge of the ODALE Task Force in New Orleans.

As a 17 year veteran with the DEA, Harold developed instruments and methods to detect the drugs and drug users, and also trained supervisors and educated the workforce.
