Immediately following his appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show he was featured as a guest expert on the Tyra Banks Show, which gave him a chance to speak healing into the lives of young men and women around the world who are involved in abusive relationships. As a world renowned speaker who’s honest, understanding and compassionate, there is a great demand for 25-year-old Gaskins to speak and share his story. He is filling a void that has existed for decades and addressing issues that men are afraid to discuss, especially young men his age. These speaking requests have taken him around the country to many places, including schools, churches, women shelters, and rehabilitation centers. There aren’t four walls that he won’t enter to share his story to inspire and encourage others to break the cycle of hurt, pain, and abuse. In 2009, Gaskins released his book, What Daddy Should Have Told His Little Girl, an updated and revised edition of his bestselling 2007 release, What Daddy Never Told His Little Girl. In both books Gaskins shares the secrets of male behaviors in courtships and relationships and answers questions frequently asked by women about cheating, celibacy, emotional and physical abuse, and other hot topics. He is currently working on additional books that will teach and inspire young men and women to live better and productive lives without anger and violence.

I know first-hand how hard it can be to leave one's comfort zone. After a decade-plus career as a newspaper reporter and occasional TV personality, I took the leap of faith to write books and speak full-time.   By now you're probably asking, 'What is a watercolored pearl?' For starters, it's the title of my soon-to-be-released third novel, which features three friends struggling with the curveballs life has thrown them while trying to find some beauty in it all. Yet it also describes you and me, wherever we are on our journeys.   FIRST NOVEL EXCERPT: Speak To My Heart
  
  Women and rain don’t mix. It’s a hair thing, and when the first drops fall, we’re often dashing for cover, frantic to protect our ’do.
  
  But three winters ago, as I stood on the banks of the Canal Walk...with the rain pelting my face and the biting wind piercing my leather coat, I didn’t care. I understood for the first time what led some people to kill themselves.
  
  SECOND NOVEL EXCERPT: Nothing But the Right Thing
  
  The first blow split her lip, then his fist kissed her eye. By the third time her beloved slammed his shiny knuckles into her soft flesh, Erika Tyler Wilson had decided.
  
  This was it. Tonight’s one-sided boxing match would be her last.
  
  Elliott would hold her tight, as usual, and try to kiss away the pain of the bruises he had inflicted. He would cradle her in his embrace and wipe her tears, whispering in her ear how much he loved her.
  
  Tomorrow, though, the dozen yellow roses he always sent after a particularly brutal episode would be coming to an empty house.

God has blessed me to be a living walking testimony of the awesome delivering power of the Holy Spirit. Because of God's transforming power, I'm now able to share and help others to be delivered from the bondage of the enemy, through the awesome word of God. I thank God for my praying mother who didn't give up on me when I was yet in sin it was her prayers that kept me safe from harms way. My mother Betty Driver also walks beside me in ministry.
