Mary E., and ArtSees Diner Radio is pleased to bring 3 at Sea as they celebrate the soon to be released "The Long Way Round." Be one of the first to hear this explosive new sound coming out of the UK. After a busy schedule of writing & recording, performing at UK festivals & opening up the stage for Toyah Wilcox, 3 at Sea are set to release their debut EP ‘The Long Way Round’ with a series of intimate shows in unorthodox locations, including St Mary’s lighthouse, a historic lecture theatre & local record store Pop Recs Ltd. Guests will receive a free single from the EP at each event before the EP goes on general release on 20th Sept3 at Sea formed almost accidentally when they met last year during a collaborative project. Sat around the piano, they began experimenting with harmonies and melody, gradually forming their unique brand of cinematic, harmonic, piano driven alt-pop. With a big vision, limited budget and some help from friends, 3 at Sea recorded their first single & music video ‘On the Run’ which was screened at the Star & Shadow cinema launch event in Sept 2013. Their debut single proving a hit with local radio stations & described as “a very fine song indeed” by Newcastle’s BBC introducing. 3 at Sea have gained popularity through their mesmerising live performances, and during this time have continued to record new material to make up an uncompromisingly different EP, capturing perfectly the sound that has defined them over the past year.3 at Sea plan to set sail later this year as they embark on a tour of Amsterdam in autumn 2014 on a quest to find further inspiration for the next album, returning to hit the coffee shops of the UK later this year‘The Long Way Round’ is available on 20th
