In military parlance, to retreat means to run for the hills. In conscious living to retreat is not only a survival skill but a gift - a mindful sabbatical. As this practice increases we'll look at why one chooses a retreat, what happens and what the expectations are. Retreat centers are nothing new but the new style seeks to calm body, mind and soul.
