Discussion ensued on what is Canon or true doctrine and how persons should be handled in the Church for promulgating what is considered false doctrine. Clip played of my call into Van Hale’s program on which Father Brown was being handled by his stake high Council for teaching false doctrine concerning the book of Revelation. Joseph Smith objected to this procedure being applied to Father Brown. On the other hand Amasa Lyman, who is one of the Twelve, was excommunicated for opposing the Adam God doctrine and preaching against the atonement of Christ. So there are limits on both sides, the judgment depending upon the heart of the individual, it was determined in the program.

Then a caller called in with a question on how all of mankind could have descended from only two people. I explained to the caller that the opposers of this idea do not understand mathematics very well. For if you take the age of Adam and divide by 25 years you would have 37.2 generations. So if the number of the inhabitants of the earth, presuming they doubled each generation you would have 2 to the 37th power inhabitants at the end of the 930 years that Adam lived. This would be 157875899765.8 persons. But actually the number would be much greater than this for Adam had many more than four children over that span and presumably many of his children did also, since they lived at that time to an astounding age due to the strength of the genetics of their bodies:

11 And the days of Adam, after he had begotten Seth, were eight hundred years. And he begat many sons and daughters. And all the days that Adam lived, were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died. (JST Gen  6:11
