Michael is a musician and trustee of Rainbow Light Foundation, an international teaching organization based in the North of England.   From an early age, Michael has had a great love of music, which led him to learning to play the trombone and eventually join his school orchestra and a local amateur orchestra.

With the lifestyle change that so often occurs on leaving school, Michael gave up playing the trombone and went on to study physics at university before embarking on a career with an international IT company in 1979.  For twenty years, his life appeared to be running according to plan and revolved about his career, his family and his sporting hobbies.  This all suddenly changed on Christmas Eve in the year 2000 when he and his long term partner decided to part.

This proved to be the start of a six month ‘roller coaster ride’ which took him from the mental and emotional turmoil that followed the break-up through to a spiritual awakening.  In the process he discovered the joy that came from engaging with his true life purpose: to write music.

Michael has continued to compose orchestral music since 2001.  His music has been used in film as well as education DVDs and he has recently released two CDs.  Michael also works as a teacher for the Academy of Spiritual Sciences, delivering courses covering the application of music for healing.
