Soul vs. Personality; Big Me / little me; Inner Self / Outer Self In the creative process, how or when do we come from our higher self instead of from our lower self? How do we get in touch with Big Me, instead of fretting and worrying and putting ourselves down when we feel small and insignificant (little me)? How does one get in touch with the Universal Spirit that all great artists, whatever their medium are immediately recognizable as purveyors of? Is it true that you can never be greater as an artist than you are as a human being? What about the greats that were less than admirable in their relationships? How does one believe in himself/herself enough so that one can create in the first place, without little or no recognition on the outside? How does one become Big Me without falling victim to an inflated ego? What is okay in terms of an "artistic ego," and does it play out differently in different cultures or countries? Join us on Tuesday, 09-29-09 as we attempt to answer some of these questions! This is a show by and for artists and anyone interested in the arts, to share where we are in our work and how it affects and relates to our spiritual growth, such as why do we do what we do, and what are we looking for, and what do we want to share? We hope you will join in our dialogue and add your insights and suggestions as we showcase different artists, musicians, and writers.
