She is fellow Arts and Healing artist and currently she is in our Art 4 All People exhibiton, MUSE: The Art of Transformation and Healing at the Institute for Art and Healing at Commonweal in Bolinas.  Listen in for the transformation. A local Bolinas resident, Carol Duchamp began her practice as a painter in 1985 under the watercolor mentorship of artist Jackie Kirk, and began exhibiting her paintings in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1993. Indeterminacy and chance play a role, as does the element of water. Carol paints on pre-soaked 300-lb Arches watercolor paper. Her process takes place in the unplanned moment. This is both the beauty and the challenge. If the spirit is clear at the time of painting, access to intuitive resources becomes easier. If the mind is cluttered, the level of concentration is diminished and the result put at risk.  Carol is passionate about the healing powers of creativity, and imagination as essential creative principle. She taught Healing Art Transition courses at UC Santa Cruz Extension and enjoys helping others nurture their inner artist. She studied Transformative Arts at JFKU in Berkeley. She is founder and director of Art Trek, a small company that orchestrates travel study art classes to exotic such as France, French Polynesia, Italy, the American Southwest and Bali & Java, Indonesia. Carol is also a writer whose novella Garlic and Roses is nearing completion.       destinations such as France, French Polynesia, Italy, the American Southwest and Bali & Java, Indonesia. From Zach's website My journey as an artist began during my childhood in Northern California, where I loved to make constructions on the beach from sand, rocks, and seaweed. Throughout my life, I've created art from and in nature as a personal practice. Since 2004 I've focused on the social and environmental dimensions of my art-- hosting group art-making events and workshops, teaching in public and private schools, training teachers and museum staff, and installing hands-on "Create-With-Nature Zones" in parks, schools, museums, and public spaces. My endeavors are in the tradition ofsocial sculpture, in service to nature and to society. Collaboration with other artists, environmentalists, scientists, educators, and parents is key to my work. I strive to create models and methods for collective creativity; to connect people of all ages with each other and with the natural world; and to inspire joy, spontaneity, and environmental action. 00:30:00Art 4 All PeoplenoZach Pine,MUSE: The Art of Transformation and Healing,Commonweal,Institute of Art and Healing,Eco ArtToday on the Art 4 All People airwaves will be having a conversation with Bay Area Artist Zach Pine. Through the touch of the fingertips, lines are formed on paper that has been placed over a smooth surface of paint. Images emerge with surprising speed, enabling 10-30 drawings to be created in a single session. The freedom of expression allows for a powerful transformational process to occur. Each drawing is an imprint of the body and psyche, and acts as a stepping-stone deeper into the soul. In this all-day workshop, movement, vocalizing, writing and SoulCards are woven into the day, to present a unique approach to multi-modal Expressive Arts. Deborah hold a sacred space with her live music (heartbeat drum, crystal bowls, voice) while you draw.
