  • The Author Chat Show with Lynda D. Brown

    in Books

Today, I have Pastor Bradley Johnson of Being Perfected Ministries.  He's going to chat with me about the untimely death of his infant son, and a revised book, Divorcing the Old Me, due out in 2015
    About the ministry:
Tragedy struck Bradley and his wife  on March 10, 2014 when in the 5th month of Quiana’s, Bradley's wife, first pregnancy, her cervix opened unexpectedly and their son Nehemiah was born prematurely at home and died. The most devastating experience of this powerful couple’s life, they have chosen to press forward, with broken hearts, and honor Nehemiah’s legacy by telling others that in their darkest hour, Jesus is still faithful and not the cause, but the solution to any heartache. The couple went as far as to share their testimony on social media via a You Tube video only weeks after their son’s death; about their process of healing and full details of the events surrounding Nehemiah’s death to encourage other people that have experienced a similar tragedy.

  • The Bonafide Literary Show S2 Ep8: Diverse Authors and Books

    in Books

In love with writing a chilling murder mystery, B. Berry is the author of several books across genres including that which brings American history into the mix reminiscent of a good book by any black author at  large in years past   Sometimes writing under the name Barbara Grovner, B. Berry has written a peculiar novel set in the time of the Black Movement of the 1960's, Clothesline Blues. Bloody Sunday is the backdrop of this book as two women quietly riot in their own movement in their backyard. In her books, Barbara Grovner takes a whole lot of plot and turns it into its own diversity campaign for better characters and storylines that don't blend in added with some cold twists. This Florida author is trying everything possible in her writing for a job lauded as well done in the literary community. B. Berry's book Cold Crazy is the first in the Cold series.

    in Books

Tonight Bonnie Kaye is proud to have Jack Engelhard as her guest. Jack is one of America's most noted contemporary authors best known for his book Indecent Proposal that was made into a block buster movie staring Robert Redford, Demi Moore, and Woody Harrelson. It is now opening in Israel in Hebrew as a play. Jack has authored books that sell millions of copies around the world and have been translated into numerous languages. His books take you into the psychological insight of the moral dilemmas we are all faced with during our lives leaving us to question if we are all capable of giving in to temptation of the heart rather than do the right thing. His sharp, staccato style draws you into the story from the first page and doesn't let you go until you are finished reading. Tonight we will be highlighting Jack's recently released books which are the Bathsheba Deadline, a thriller tied in to today's current Middle East terrorist groups and Compulsive which gives the reader a front row seat into a man's life consumed by addiction.
Jack originally started his writing career as a news man writing articles and editorials for the Philadelphia Inquirer and other publications. He currently writes a column several times a week for a popular Israeli newspaper Arutz Sheva.
You can read more about Jack his books on his website at www.Jackengelhard.com.
On a personal level, Jack has greatly touched my life and thinking as a writer and as a human being. After reading any of his books, you'll be thinking for a long time about the temptations that face us in life, and if you would be strong enough to walk the other way.
