Mr. R. Paul Ryan, administrator of the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC), will discuss DoD Techipedi a scientific and technical wiki, designed to increase collaboration among DoD scientists, engineers, program managers and operational warfighters. Defense professionals and researchers in science and technology (S&T) have to rely on increasing number of resources for monitoring current trends and advancements in their various fields of knowledge. They need to be aware of how these technologies are being used and repurposed to fill capability gaps. DoD’s S&T wiki, DoDTechipedia, (and its suite of services) is effectively addressing the needs of our most important client – the warfighter. A secondary goal of DoDTechipedia is to provide those in defense and S&T with a means to communicate, collaborate, and market their expertise.
