Ephesians 2:8, 9 teaches us that it is "...by grace (we) have been saved through faith," and that this Grace, this faith and this salvation is "not of (ourselves)", but rather; "it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Throughout my time as a student and teacher of God's Word, I have encountered many who, because of a lack of understanding of the salvific experience as illustrated in scripture, place an inordinate amount of emphasis on what they believe is their contribution to their salvation. While this error in understanding can and does stunt the growth process and potential service of the spiritually young believer, it is generally easily and effectively remedied by spending time in God's Word illustrating what God taught on this very subject. While it is the purpose of Almighty God that all believers grow beyond legalism in their service of him so that they can become effective representatives of Him to a lost and sin sickened world, this same legalism serves to protect "babes in Christ" (Carnal Christians) from opening themselves up to any and everything that seeks to subvert their development into "The Measure of the Stature of The Fullness of Christ" (Spiritual Christians). To be clear, I am not espousing that legalistic teaching in any way is biblically viable or permissible from a Christian perspective. Join me as I address these issuess from the Word of God.  I'll also be taking your questions and/or comments live on air at (646)652-2905.
